The Campaign for Size Freedom is excited to support Bigger Bodies Boston in hosting a virtual Testimony Prep Session for Massachusetts bill H.1705/S.1108 - An Act Prohibiting Body Size Discrimination. The bill is being heard in the Joint Judiciary Committee on Tuesday, December 5 at 1pm Eastern. Public testimony on the bill is welcomed by the Commonwealth, and we’ll be there!

If you live or work in MA, your opinion matters! You can testify in person, virtually, or in writing. Join the Campaign for Size Freedom and BBB on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at 2pm ET to prepare for any of the testimony options. We’ll work together to make everyone’s testimony the strongest it can be and to make sure we are collectively representing the many aspects of size discrimination fat people face. Representatives from the Campaign for Size Freedom will alo be available to answer questions.

Visit naafa.org/sizefreedom-ma2023 for more info on testifying. Please note: If you want to testify virtually at the committee hearing, you must register for the hearing by 5pm on Sunday, December 3, so you can register during or right after the testimony prep session!

This session is presented via Zoom in English. Please email biggerbodiesboston@gmail.com with any accessibility needs.

This event is supported by the Campaign for Size Freedom, NAAFA, and Solovay Law’s FLARE Project.  NAAFA is a 501(c)3 charitable organization with a mission to change perceptions of fat and to end size discrimination through advocacy, education, and support. Our webinars are offered to the community free of charge thanks to the generosity of those who give to NAAFA. To support this and other NAAFA programming, visit naafa.org/give.
